What is a Dental Extraction?
Our goal of periodontal therapy is to save existing teeth or replace missing teeth. Upon evaluation and during the course of treatment, hopeless teeth, and other teeth requiring extraction may be identified. Extractions may be performed during the diagnostic, non-surgical, or surgical phase of care to eliminate pain, infection, or periodontal defects and/or to facilitate restorative treatment. Our amazing team will be there to explain and help you through this process.
Whether due to decay, trauma, or infection, a tooth extraction can bring immediate and needed pain relief! Tooth extraction may also be part of a cosmetic dentistry treatment plan, such as a total smile makeover with dental implants. In the event that you may require a tooth extraction, you can trust us to provide you with an honest consultation, confirmation of your diagnosis, a discussion of all of your tooth replacement options, and answers to all of your questions.
